If a service is great I will support it, maybe even recommend it to others. I hate it how companies like this (and EA) continue to provide terrible service to consumers rather than cultivating good will. This and the whole practise of inconveniencing users until they purchase the product really rubs me the wrong way. I get that they want to entice more users to their service (although unfortunately for them I will never give them a cent), but implying something important had happened that requires my attention is not the way to go about it (I thought my account could have gotten hacked or something, glad I used one of my throwaway emails and not my personal account). I got an email yesterday from them with the tagline "We need to talk.", and I when I opened it up it was just them complaining that I'd had an account for three whole weeks without signing up for VIP. I created an account recently on TSR because I was downloading sims with a lot of CC that linked to the website and I was having so many issues trying to download without an account.
